Autumn in Russia - a poem by Liz Pavlova, a student from St. Petersburg

Late autumn

A sudden sound of ringing phone,
Darkness behind the window.
A cat wrapped in her fluffy tail,
A smell of coffee from the kitchen.
A road covered with ice,
Shadows of naked trees,
A sound of cars passing by,
A sound of whistling wind.
A feeling of being alone,
Autumn dreams, autumn’s first snow…
